You’ll love this ! So beautifully delicate & complex. Given to me by a dear friend who inherited them from her grandmother.
This is a handwoven strip of silk that used to be a Japanese Obi. Off white color ground is woven with fabulous colors of Coral, red, green, black and metallic Gold & silver !!!!
Exquisite scenes of Japanese pagodas with floating silver clouds or Golden sunsets !
FABULOUS, FABULOUS, FABULOUS !!!!!
There is a 3.5″ border at 1 end then 44″ plain fabric followed by 80″ of design fabric & 38″ plain fabric
THERE IS A FOLD MARK AT THE CENTER THAT IS MORE NOTICEABLE IN THE PLAIN FABRIC. I used it turned under as lining for the table runner so was not an issue. Doesn’t take awa from the beauty of the fabric panels.
I used these to create fantastic table runners or hung them on a rod as a tapestry. I had 1 that I even made a jacket out of for a client !
LENGTH : 4.75yards.
