From its beginning, Moser focused on the production of blown, hand-cut, engraved and painted glass. Moser glass soon gained a worldwide reputation for the quality of its glass, perfection of workmanship and artistry. These qualities helped to bring success at numerous exhibitions of applied arts in the 19th and 20th centuries. Moser products, outstanding in their purity, brilliance, elegance and classical proportions, soon became the proud possession of royalty, heads of state and well-known personalities throughout the world. The names of prominent owners such as Kings, Presidents, or Diplomatic Corps, with their own individual coat of arms, are the best proof of the value, popularity and first class quality of Moser. Due to this tradition, Moser is justifiably referred to as “The Glass of Kings” to this very day.

For more than 140 years, the Moser glassworks has produced luxury glassware and decorative items in classical and contemporary shapes. The styling is timeless, never bending to trends and transient fashion. It is Moser’s dedication to this guiding principle, which ensures the beauty of Moser products will remain relevant to every age.

This pattern is an example of the “papal” cut so called because it is a derivative of the Pope pattern and its defining panel cuts. The Pope pattern was commissioned by Pope Pius XI in 1923 while its offspring Lady Hamilton was first produced in 1934. Lady Hamilton has become one of Moser’s superlative patterns and continues to be very popular to this day.

In a hock size, Lady Hamilton is also available in a special overlay execution. During the blowing process, a color is draped over the existing clear base and then panel cutters work through to the clear core to create alternating panels of clear and color. Six unique colors are reserved exclusively for this process: green, reseda (yellowish lime-green), aurora (part of the topaz family), rose, amethyst and cobalt blue. Finishing off the colorful display is a band of etched 24K

I bought these for myself but never use them. I love looking at them & enjoy the craftmanship that goes into making each of these individually by hand. Totally lead free so there is no danger of lead leaching into the drinks. Moser uses salts to obtain unmatched brilliance in the crystal  ! Please contact me if you have any questions.
