The first thing about buying fabric online is that all monitors distort color. I try to describe colors as best I can, but you may be much more sensitive & see subtle nuances & shades that I do not.
If you are blessed with a discerning eye and if the exact shade is important it is best to buy a swatch or buy from a neighborhood store and not online. You won’t be disappointed & they’ll appreciate the business !

 I had to good fortune to work with a Designer weaver and together we designed “One – of – a- Kind ” suits and she specially wove the hand woven fabric to make our creation. This collaboration produced the most unique items we offered in my Couture made to order collection in my Washington DC salon.

We worked with peacock feathers inlaid in fine wools, Ribbons,  patent leather strips, Silks, metallic chenilles etc. Nothing was off limits in these creations. It just had to LOOK GOOD !!!!

With handwoven fabrics there is extra care required. We used fusible interfacing on all seams & overlocked them in addition as fabrics are fragile. Sometimes we fused the whole fabric with lightweight interfacing to stabilize our delicate creations. Do ask any questions on construction or use of these unique textles.

ITEM DESCRIPTION :  

This is truly AMAZING ! Fabulous black wooly yarns are woven with white into twill weave panels that are then accented with complex borders ! Use the borders on the shoulder line, the hem or turned on their sides to run at center front !! The only limit is your imagination !

Panel # 1

The 1st panel is about 140 inches long with the center section about 120 inches. The cloth is  28 inches wide.

There are borders that are about 7.5 inches wide made up of 1.5″ black band + 1/4″ herringbone design + 1/8″ black + 1/4″ band + 1/2″ Black then 4.5″ tweed +1/2″ black + 1/4″ band + 1/8 “black + 1?4” herringbone design !

You would use this for the body of the jacket using the borders at the hem or at the neck & Shoulders. Or turn the panels  use the borders down the center fronts of the jacket.

Panel # 2 is 56 inches long with similar borders that are 16 inches wide. The center solid grey is 24″. You could use this for sleeves

Panel # 3

The last panel is about 65-66 inches long with the center grey section about 28inches. The cloth is 28 inches wide. You can make the skirt out of this.
